What should I name my NGO in the United States?

You will register in the U.S. the exact same name of the NGO that is registered in your country of origin.

 

In what state do I register?

You may register the NGO in the state of your choice. It does not have to be in Georgia. However, be aware, there will be an additional $125 Registered Agent fee to obtain a R.A. in that State.

 

What address(es) is okay to use?

International addresses are acceptable and used on the forms.

 

Do I need a Board of Directors?

Yes. You must provide the names and addresses of three persons (board of directors) which are the President, Treasurer and Secretary. They do not have to reside in the United States or be a U.S. citizen. No one can be family related on the forms.

 

What is the processing time?

It takes about 4 weeks to have the documents filed and another 6 months for final government approval. The approval is guaranteed. If your NGO does not meet the criteria to register in the U.S. we will notify you in advance.

 

How do you accept payment of fees?

Credit and debit cards, direct bank transfers accepted.

 

How often do I need to renew my registration?

Once the NGO is registered, you will have yearly forms due such as renewal of the nonprofit corporation, and filing IRS Form 990 to keep the NGO registration in “good standing.” Our company can assist you with filing these forms.
